Lodovico Dolce (1508/10–1568) was an Italian writer and art theorist. He was a widely based Venetian humanist who was also a prolific writer, editor, and translator. Today, he is primarily known for his participation in contemporary artistic disputes and his Dialogue on Painting, or L'Aretino (1557). He was Titian's friend and frequently served as his public relations representative.
