Description: Folio: 6 by 13" RERUM VENETARUM AB URBE CONDITA AD ANNUM MDCLXXV. HISTORIA [..] by IUSTINIANUS, Petrus Venice; 1576 pages. 1. Pietro Giustinian's extensive history of Venice (1497–1566). At the end and on the title is a woodcut mark. Provenance: Scottish politician and collector Andrew Fletcher of Saltoun (1653–1716) (name at top of title; P. Willems, Bibl. Fletcheriana p. 119). Original limp vellum with slight damage to the spine, a broken front hinge, and writing on the bottom edge Very nice interior with the exception of a tiny bit of worming in the first ff Latin text.
