Description: Uncommon and widely read antipapist treatise criticizing the saint-worshipping cult. A. Magyrus, Almanachs heiligen, the history of arrival, journey, and departure of all the heyligen, who entered the room with red letters and were later seen as God's servants. Dealt with Jok- and Ernst-wyze by Abraham Magyrus of Medenblik. (Almanachs saints, of the history of the ascent, advancement, and celebration of all the saints; these are typically denoted in the almanach by red letters, and the Roman saint is the object of their veneration.) Samuel Lamsveld, Amsterdam, 1732. (426), 426, (4) pages. original vellum, limp. 4" x 6"; title page with vignette; illustrated frontispiece. Several pages have a fading dampstain on the front endpaper, and the binding is worn. Written in Dutch
