Description: In the duodecim Prophetas Minores, Philipp David Burk Gnomon presents a simple, profound, concinnit, and salubrita verborum ex nativa indicatur. [With Johann Albrecht Bengel's preface]. Franz Joseph Eckebrecht, Heilbronn, 1753. Main title, [16], 675, [1]pp. 4to. 7 1/3 by 8 3/4" original vellum, tooled for blind. Binding a little dirty. snug with excellent inside quality. Some foxing. Latin text with some Hebrew German Protestant theologian Philip David Burk was born in Neuffen on July 26, 1714. He was a student at Tubingen, a pastor at Bolheim in 1742, and a resident of Hedelfingen, close to Stuttgard, in 1750. He was named supervisor at Markt-Groningen in 1758. In 1766, he was called to Kirchheim for the same role, where he passed away on March 22, 1770.
