The New Edition. by [PLUCHE, Antoine] Paris; 1763 8 parts in 9 volumes Size: 4 by 6" illustrated with 212 plates (complete), mostly fold-out, showing topics such as botany, entomology, fishing, gardening, astronomy, music, watchmaking, navy, arts & crafts (textile, tannery, building, candlemaking, etc.) The 8th part (here in 2 vol.) concerning the relations between man and God is not illustrated. Original marbled calf, gilt-ornamental spines with raised bands and leather title labels, red edges. Very good condition, minor wear. Each book comes with a modern slip case.
