Fine 19th century European School scene of a cavalry battle from the 1st Italian War of Independence, oil on canvas. Excellent quality 19th century battle scene between two cavalries. It is believed to depict a non-commissioned officer Cignetti saving the life of lieutenant Marquees Marazzani from the Austrians. Framed. The piece uses unusual variations of colour with some figures seemingly unfinished. Measurements: 32" x 26" framed
