Paris; 1631 Large folio: 9 by 14" Thickness: 3.5" [44]-1088-103-[83] pp. Some faded dampstains in the margins. Seldom found full collection of writings by the French army physician, king counselor, and professor at the College of France La Framboisiere (1560-1636). In seven sections, the author blends philosophy with medicine to provide a true medical encyclopedia that will be helpful to both practitioners and students in the near future. Ragot engraved vignette on title. Author's portrait engraved by L. Following Daniel Dumonstier was Gaultier. The title is in red and black. The original calf has raised bands on the spine and covers with embossed gilded ornamentation (rebacked, some repairs). Written in French
