SmithEncased in a bespoke box made of straight-grained morocco, lettered in gold and bearing the name of the original owner, Brinsley Euseby Moore, this piece is bound in full morocco stamped in blind and lettered in gilt, with gilt page-ends. The small brass lock on the box is inoperative. Brinsley Euseby Moore, son of Rev. Calvert F. Moore, may have passed away around 1842, according to an ancient newspaper obituary notice.
