Description: Al-Wiqayah Nukaya Mukhtasar by Sadr al-Shari'a al-Asghar Arabic text written in Nastaliq script 1826 manuscript; acquired in Uzbekistan original ribbon binding with medallion embossment. Measures 6 1/4 by 10 "Nice handwriting, around 130 lvs (260 pages). A small amount of wear and faded dampstains.
Sadr al-Shari'a al-Asghar, also called Sadr al-Shari'a al-Thani, was a Hanafi-Maturidi scholar who was skilled in astronomy, logic, lughawi, astronomy, mufassir, mutakallim, nahawi, grammarian, muhaddith, and Qur'anic exegesis. He was also well-known for his theories on time and location as well as his commentary on Islamic jurisprudence, demonstrating his extensive knowledge of a wide range of Islamic subjects. His ancestry extends to 'Ubadah ibn al-Samit. Al-Taftazani and 'Abd al-Hayy al-Lucknawi both gave him appreciation.
