Description: Large 17th Century Italian Old Master Architectural Capriccio of a soldier and child, oil on canvas attributed to Niccolo Codazzi. Excellent quality and condition circa 1680 landscape with architectural ruins and a soldier accompanied by a child in the foreground. Typical of of Codazzi's painting during the period depicting classical Roman life and buildings. The work has also been catalogued to Codazzi's circle by Professor David Marshall. Presented in an gilt frame with plaque attributed to Codazzi. Measurements: 39" x 32" framed approx
