Description: 17th Century Italian Old Master view of the Bay Of Naples, oil on canvas laid to board. Early, rare and important view over looking the Molo Grande nd the Castel Dell'Ovo with a naval fleet moored off the bay in the foreground. The work is typical of Angelo Costa's painting from the period who was among the earliest painters of the Bay of Naples during the end of the 17th Century. He was born in Palermo before spending the latter part of his life residing and painting in Naples. Excellent condition for its age and presented in a good gilt frame. Measurements: 24" x 12.5" framed approx
