Description: Fine large early 19th Century study of a Royal Navy frigate off the coast with various other shipping, oil on canvas by William John Huggins. Excellent condition and quality example from one of the periods most important maritime painters. Superb detail of the ship with other busy shipping in the distance at the mouth of a harbour and a distant lighthouse (location is currently unidentified). Independently attributed to Huggins. Measurements: 110cm x 80cm framed approx
