Description: Richard Wright of Liverpool painted this large oil on canvas depiction of a Royal Navy ship cruising through a fishery from the coast in the 18th century. Excellent quality and condition, with a wide perspective of many shipments in varying weather. Unsigned but recognized thanks to an engraving linked to Wright that is housed at the British Museum. displayed inside a vintage gilded frame. Leading example of the work of a marine artist who is fully self-taught and is recognized as one of the movement's most important painters at the time. Dimensions: about 31" x 26" framed
