Description: Large 18th Century British Royal Navy squadron off the coast with various other shipping, oil on canvas by Francis Swaine. Excellent quality and condition, presented in a good gilt frame and with artists plaque. Unsigned as are many of Swaine's wartime paintings though his style and technique during the period was unique along with Peter Monamy. Professionally relined and restretched and ready to hang.
