Description: Beautiful oil painting from the English School of the eighteenth century depicting a farmyard scene with a variety of birds amidst tools and jars. An early and significant English school farm scene featuring birds amidst the implements and containers. Superb detail and striking similarities to the paintings of the subject's most prominent painter, Craddock. original state without significant alterations or repairs. Excellent state of the panel. An antique frame with black and gilded details. Unusually absent signature for a piece this old. Self-taught painter Cradock came from Somerset and eventually settled in London, but he purposefully avoided receiving sponsorship from nobles. Dimensions: 20" x 22.5" with frame.
