Stunning composition of the Virgin in ascension toward the heavens, crowned by cherubs and witnesses by the attending angels. Exquisite detail throughout and good original condition for its age. On an early split panel. Presented in an antique gilt frame. Similar to Reni's 1607 work held in the National Gallery with some variations including the palette. Measurements: 48" x 34" framed
