Description: 1 Fine English Exceptional Rare Quality Antique Victorian Crane Bird Inkwell Stand from the 19th century, designed by James Deakin. With a magnificent decorative plinth in the middle holding a beautifully carved Crane and his fish harvest. About 1880 in the late 19th century. having exquisitely detailed repousse foliage, leaves, and berries. similar to the work of renowned silversmith James Deakin. This item was created in 1880 for the retailer H. Spiller, London, according to the stamp underneath.
