Description: Dominicus Cyllenius. In memoriam Ad Emanuelem Philibertum Military science is covered in De Vetere & Recentiore Scientia Militari. Francesco Portonari, Venice, 1559. A first edition, small folio with a large printer's woodcut emblem to the title, roman letter printing, historiated initials in the text, and a modern half parchment binding with marbled paper boards. The work is sized at 11 1/4 by 7 3/4 inches and is in very good internal condition aside from a few repairs to the blank margins on a few leaves at the end. Latin text (Adams C-3143).
