Description: 1 Fine Art Antique Victorian English Oil Painting from the 19th Century Ellesmere's Edward Lloyd Horses Traveling "On The Road" to Chester and Going To Market. Subject genre scene of a horse merchant trader riding his brown horse and leading two other lighter brown horses just behind him and further back with a lovely white horse trailing behind. He is wearing a thick fine country coat and traveling on an old dirt path road. He is nearing a crossroad on the hillside path through Beeston Peckforton Hills in Cheshire, and a sign right by him indicates that Chester is on the right. Edward Lloyd of Ellesmere, a well-known English artist, signed the piece. 19th-century artifact from August 4, 1874. on a canvas, oil.
