Descritpion: One substantial Danish fine art Victorian oil painting depicts a farmer with a plough team wearing a top hat and a Nordic farm dog at rest. Subject. A Danish farmer is depicted in a sitting position on a hill covered in dense grassy greenery, his livestock enclosed by crude wooden fencing. The farmer is dressed in traditional farming attire and is wearing a brown tall country hat. He's got a long, coiled smoking pipe in his hand. Just in front of him, a brown Nordic farm dog who has been his best buddy for years is sitting up and lovingly gazing at his owner. Just beyond is a big brown beer jug lying on the ground. Right at the farmer's foot, you can see a small green toolbox container with a folded blanket inside.
