Description: 1 Outstanding Beautiful, extremely rare hand-painted lead sculpture of Tudor King Henry VIII on a wooden base. The gorgeous hand painted colors and remarkable craftsmanship in his attire are a feature that stand out. For 36 years, England was ruled by King Henry VIII (1491–1547), who oversaw significant reforms that ushered his country into the Protestant Reformation. In his quest for a political ally, marital joy, and a strong male heir, he is famed for marrying six different women in succession. Without the consent of the pope, he sought to dissolve his first marriage, which resulted in the formation of a distinct Church of England. He had four divorces, four natural deaths, two beheadings of his wives for adultery and treason, and two annulments of his marriages. Each of his three offspring, Elizabeth I, Mary I, and Edward VI, would rule England for a short while.
