Description: Scottish Impressionist 20th century oil, figures inside a clothing market. This is a very unusual subject and market scenes like this are quite rare, I guess due to the complex nature of the subject and the difficulty in balancing the composition. The artist has done a wonderful job of painting this subject, it is a wonderful example of Scottish Impressionist painting. The painting has an almost pointillist style in how the artist has painted the scene, with each dab of paint being carefully placed. Framed in a vintage English frame.
