Description: Large 19th century Welsh beach landscape with fisherfolk, oil on canvas by Calvert Richard Jones. Excellent large scale example of the artists work who rarely paints in oils, predominantly in watercolour. Good condition, signed bottom left, presented in its original antique gilt frame. Jones was a mathematician and painter based in Swansea, Wales. He specialised in marine and coastal landscape paintings along the Welsh coast. Measurements: 45" x 34" framed approx
