Description: Fishing Boat Off the Ayrshire Coast, an Antique Marine Oil Painting by Frank Kipling, is one fine example of a British work of art. Two fishermen in a tiny fishing boat are seen sailing in turbulent waters off the coast of Ayrshire, Scotland, with Ailsa Craig visible in the distance. Seagulls are soaring overhead. The fishing boat with the skipper in a traditional captain's hat smoking a pipe and steering the big single sail draws your attention. His first mate is seated further back in the stern and is wearing a yellow fisherman's hat. There are thick storm clouds above, yet in the distance, you can see some sunrays poking through. Winsor & Newton canvas, medium oil. Frank Kipling (1867–1957), a British artist, has signed the piece in the bottom corner.
