Early and important scene with hunters and hounds surrounding the bear at the climax of the brutal hunt with other figures in the distance. The work though more close in perspective has similarities in the execution of Bruegel as well as the same pigment ranges of his winter scenes. The scene is in excellent condition and has been professionally relined in the past 100 years and clean carefully in the last 10. Verso is an old wax seal with a crown.
