Description: One exquisite original antique Kuang-Hsu Guangxu Qing Gilt Bronze Slim Teapot from the 19th century. Slim in shape, with a lovely guardian Foo Fu dog finial covering the lid and a sculpted handle and spout. The Guangxu Emperor, also known by his given name Zaitian, was the ninth Qing emperor to rule over actual China. He was the 11th Emperor of the Qing dynasty. Although he officially reigned from 1875 to 1908, in reality he only did so from 1889 to 1898 because of the Empress Dowager Cixi's absence. Made by hand with a gilded finish on cast bronze. About the 19th century. obtained through a private seller's collection of provenance.
