Description: Large scale oil painting on canvas: Still life titled "Vases of flowers on an entablature" and signed in the upper right, Nikolai Yakovlevich Belyaev (1916–2004). Belyaev was a Russian artist, and this piece is dated 1989. The canvas has thicknesses at the level of purple and white flowers, creating a beautiful depth to the composition. The light is slightly degraded from top to bottom, giving even more brightness to the bouquet. The reflections on the vases are subtly worked. The golden frame has a slightly chrome appearance, giving elegance to this decidedly modern piece. Overall size: 25.1" x33" / 64cm x 84cm. Size without the frame: 23.2" x 31.1" / 59cm x 79cm.
