Description: Fine large 19th century French portrait of a lady accompanied by her favorite pets, oil on canvas by Leon Herbo. Exquisite study of the lady wearing a red dress and seated on a gilt chair with a cat and dove. Beautiful example of Herbo's painting that captured the fashions and figures of Parisian society toward the end of the 19th century. Good original condition, signed and dated 1889. Presented in a superb antique gilt frame. Measurements: 37" x 31" framed
