Description: Portrait Of Charles II, When Prince Of Wales, 17th Century follower of Anthony VAN DYCK (1599-1641) - Fine huge 17th Century portrait identified as Charles II, when Prince Of Wales, oil on canvas. Large scale full length master portrait of the boy in a red ceremonial attire standing beside a pillar with a landscape beyond. Superb quality study distinctly similar to Van Dyck's famous court paintings of the era but by a follower/later hand accomplished in portraiture. Could be enhanced with a clean but not necessary. Presented in an antique gilt frame.
