Description: To acquire it, Francois Nepveu Dell'Amore di Giesu e de Mezzi. Size: 3 1/4 by 5 3/4 " Florence, 1712" 206 pages, xxiii. The original translation is in Italian. Extremely uncommon. Originally wrapped with vellum excellent interior, tattered binding Written in Italian François Nepveu, also known as Francis Nepveu, wrote on ascetic topics from 1639 to 1708. On October 12, 1654, at the age of fifteen, he enrolled in the Society of Jesus novitiate. After serving as a professor of philosophy for eight years, humanities and rhetoric for six, and grammar for seven years, he went on to work for the government. He held positions as superior at Nantes in 1689, rector at Vannes in 1684, rector at Orléans in 1694 and 1700, rector at Rouen in 1697, and director of retreats at Rennes in 1704 until his death on February 17, 1708.
