Description: Fine 16th Century Italian Old Master depiction of the Madonna, Infant Christ and St John, oil on canvas. Early and important renaissance depiction of the Madonna cradling and feeding the Infant Christ in a woodland. Typical of the palette and technique of Da Vinci during the period with its excellent draughtsmanship, soft skin tones and shadowy quality (sfumato). Good original condition, professionally relined and housed in a spectacular antique gilt frame. Measurements: 26" x 23" framed
