Description: Fine huge 19th Century English study of various insects including butterflies, a moth, wasp, cricket and beetles amount other flowers and berries, oil on canvas. Excellent quality and condition study of the various insects superbly detailed painted on a large scale. Framed. The work is distinctly similar to the paintings of Jan Van Kessel however we have conservatively dated the painting to the 19th century though it may be earlier. Measurements: 105cm x 95cm framed approx
