Toning text in Latin Jeremias Drexel, (1581–1638), a Jesuit professor of rhetoric and the humanities as well as a writer of devotional writing, was also known by the names Hieremias Drexelius or Drechsel. He worked for Maximilian I, the Elector of Bavaria, and his wife Elizabeth of Lorraine for twenty-three years as a court preacher in Munich.
