Description: Huge 19th Century English portrait of three racehorses with jockeys up top, oil on canvas attributed to Harry Hall. Excellent quality and condition sporting study painted on a huge scale and was likely painted as a private commissions for the horses owner. No visible signature but identical to similar examples of Halls work from the period. Excellent condition for its age and presented in a superb original antique gilt frame. Works on the subject this scale and quality rarely come up for public sale. Note: the silks of the central jockey belonged to The Hon. Colonel H. Westenra, who registered 'Green jacket, laced with gold, green and yellow cap' in 1846. Measurements: 60" x 50" framed approx
