Description: 1 Decorative Small Antique Heavy Chinese Bronze Lamp Base Of Archaic Shang Dynasty Fenglei Design. Ancient bronze vessels were used for the purpose of ancestor veneration and worship in Chinese culture. Having the cast decoration of traditional Chinese archaic style with stylised eyes and mask imagery. A feature that stands out is the design of this lamp base which imitates ancient Chinese ritual wine or food vessels, vases or "Fanglei", from the archaic Chinese bronze age 1650BC. Circa 1920 early 20th century Republic of China Dynasty 1912-1949. So collectible. Provenance bought from a private seller.
