Extensive sunset landscape with figures in the foreground and the city of Florence in the distance painted from San Miniato. Exceptional detail view typical of Turners landscape during his travels in Italy. This work has a close affiliation to Turner with its composition a variation to his 1828 watercolour. Whether by Turners hand or a member of his circle is unknown, requires additional research. Presented in an exceptional handmade gilt frame specifically for the painting.
