Description: Oil on canvas, large-scale Italian sunset landscape of Florence near San Miniato. Detailed sunset landscape painted from San Miniato with people in the front and Florence in the background. View with extraordinary level of detail reminiscent of Turner's Italian travels. Turner and this work are closely related because of the composition's similarity to his watercolour from 1828. It will need more investigation to determine whether this was done by Turner or someone in his group. It is displayed in a magnificent handmade gilded frame designed especially for the picture. Size: about 38" x 32" framed
