Description: Fine 17th century Dutch School Old Master portrait of three figures drinking and smoking in a tavern interior, oil on panel attributed to Adriaen Brouwer. Original condition and detail little study of the three peasants around a corner table with a jug and pipe. Presented in a gilt and wood frame with plaque bearing incorrect spelling taken from provenance label verso. Literature B. Taylor, Animal painting in England, Middlesex, 1955. p. 66, ill., pl.
