Description: It was painted by Samuel Lawson Booth, a member of the Royal Academy, right at the end of the 19th century, when Academic painting was still being done and appreciated, but you also had this new vein of art coming up through the Impressionists and Post Impressionists. As far as Romanticism goes, this painting has it all: the ruined church in the background, cows watering, even a fisherman. Canvas is in very good shape, and has been relined. Ornate antique wood frame comes with it, also in good shape. Measures 30" x 41.5" framed, canvas is 24: x 35".
