Excellent quality and condition example of the the famous animal painters work with a grey terrier look up after catching a rabbit in a mountainous landscape. Dramatic scene beautifully painted with fine detail in the head and furs. Signed and dated 1848. Exhibited in 1849. Antique gilt frame. Measurements: 40" x 34" framed
