Description: Portrait Of Lieutenant General Robert Burne, circa 1805 attributed to Sir William BEECHEY (1753-1839) - Fine large early 19th century British Military portrait of Lieutenant General Robert Burne, oil on canvas. Excellent large scale portrait of the commander of the 3th Regiment of The Foot wearing the Corruna medal. Distinctly similar to Beechey;s portraiture from the period who was regularly commissioned to paint leading military figures. Presented in an antique gilt frame, probably original to the painting, some small losses. Condition: Good original condition, huge potential to enhance with a professional clean. Measurements: 37" x 32" framed
