Description: Cornelia Loring Brooks large standing nude. Framed in an elaborate gilt frame. A few very expert repairs that do not show a trace on the front. Artist Cordelia Loring Brooks graduated from Harvard University in the Class of 1889, when women had not long been admitted there. In 1932, she was awarded a traveling scholarship by the Boston Museum of Fine Art. One of her paintings was accepted for the annual exhibition of the Paris Salon, a huge honor during any period.
