No ties; slight binding wear, excellent interior The original school reward was bound in vellum and blind stamped with a gilded double border, featuring a gilt De Jonge van Ellemeet crest on the front cover, a gilt spine, and the coat of arms of LEYDEN crowned by Pallas Athena. Dimensions: 5 1/4 by 8 1/3"; Latin text Roman statesman, orator, lawyer, and philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero (106–43 BC) held the office of consul in 63 BC. He was born into a prosperous Roman equestrian order municipal family and is regarded as one of the best orators and prose stylists in Rome history.
