Description: One excellent, significant British oil painting from the 18th century depicting the young lady Lucy Montagu, the Countess of Guilford (1709–1734) and member of John Vanderbank's circle. Verso: "Lucy Countess of Guildford" is written as the title. Canvas coated in oil. Early 18th century, perhaps 1734. This artwork is enhanced by its placement within a pretty ornate rectangular frame that measures 43.5 cm in height and 39 cm in width. The subject portraiture matter is extremely valuable and sought after. Unsigned artist within John Vanderbank's Circle.
