A beautiful and well-preserved example of the artist's work depicting a classical interior from antiquity, with a young woman admiring her reflection while her attendant styles her hair. Dated and signed. It is probably one of the artists' Royal Academy entires at this scale. displayed in its original, antique, gilded frame. Measurements: approximately 49" x 41.5" framed.
