Description: AMAZING DECORATIVE VELLUM BOUND FOLIO by BASILII FABRI, circa 1749 Bibliotheca eruditionis scholasticae omnium usui et disciplinis omnibus accomodatus Fabri, B. J.M. Gesner, ed. Giant folio, Frankfurt/Leipsic, J.F. Gleditsch, 1749. Dimensions: 15 1/2 by 9 3/4". Binding in excellent condition. Heavy foxing on pages in the Amsterdam Schoolprize binding, which is fully bound in highly gilt vellum. The covers include a central coat of arms surrounded by two flowery borders that incorporate smaller city coats of arms, four coats of arms in the corners, and eight compartments, each with a different city coat of arms.
