Description: One lovely antique Victorian British small fine architectural lead monkey sculpture in a garden. Designed in the highly coveted late Victorian era style and shaped like a monkey animal. The monkey's pose with his palm beneath his chin in a seemingly philosophical look is one aspect that jumps out. The monkey is mounted on a cast iron pole, which you may cement in your garden area as a beautiful focus point. The cast iron pole is permanently attached to the Lead Monkey and cannot be removed. Quite heavy for its small size, weighing roughly 35kg. Such a collectible and popular item. Manufactured by hand from real lead. beginning of the 20th century about 1900.
