Description: Lombardelli, Orazio. "The Ufizii and the costuming of the young" Libri IIII. Giorgio Marescotti, Florence, 1579 216 pages, 5 liters, 6 lvs. The title bears the woodcut printer's mark. 3 1/4 by 5 3/4" (14 by 7 cm) in size. contemporary cardboard binder with label on the spine Initial Printing. The author Orazio Lombardelli (1545–1608) taught privately and began lecturing at the Siena diocesan seminary in 1598. He authored multiple books with grammatical, stylistic, and morally uplifting themes, such as friendship, married women's responsibilities, and peace of mind and solace during trying times. On pages 121–122, Leaf F1 is absent. Manuscript ownership notation on the title page and library stamp indicate otherwise good condition. The ancient name stamp from the early 20th century, "Bibliotheca Camaldulendium Nolae" (a Camaldolese monastery), is located above the title. EDIT 16 CNCE 45632, STC 392. Gamba 1489 (nota).
