Description: Extensive 19th-century oil painting depicting an Ottoman pirate raid, complete with a woman shackled to the mast during the escape. Presumably a historical narrative from the 16th or 17th century, the woman is dressed intriguingly in classic European garb, possibly befitting a noblewoman. Fine condition, framed, unsigned. Size: about 55" by 35" when framed.
