Description: with exquisite oil painting from the 17th century, with uncertain signature, depicting an indoor scene of two peasants drinking while a mother potty trains her infant. Superb quality and original interior scene with the mother sitting the infant on the barrel/improvised potty while the two inebriated peasants observe. A thorough cleaning could bring out the signature even more on the painting. enclosed in a vintage gilded frame. Origin: A personal assortment from Dorset Size: approximately 13" by 11" when framed.
